Welcome to our web site!
The Liberal Democrats exist to build and safeguard a fair, free and open society, in which we seek to balance the fundamental values of liberty, equality and community, and in which no-one shall be enslaved by poverty, ignorance or conformity.

A very big thanks to everyone who helped with the Putney campaign. We were able to make maximum use out of limited resources - think of how much more our vote could increase should more active volunteers join the LibDem cause in Putney. I know it was a disappointing night, given Nick Clegg's strong campaign and the work we put in locally, but we are now the established third party in Putney. Every setback is an opportunity to reassert our values: as Ted Kennedy said "The hope shall always live on, the dream will never die".

It's the final push, up to 40% of voters are still undecided according to the "Today" programme this morning. In order to help you make up your mind - to vote for CHANGE and a FAIRER society - the LibDems in Putney have been leafleting, handing out tabloids and meeting commuters and local parents and will be in Southfields this evening.
